Lake Texana...Ideally suited for water recreation, fishing, and the Wildlife Education Center. The total recreation facilities on Lake Texana include a 600-acre State Park, 300-acre river authority park, 10 boat access points, a 250-acre primitive camping area, a marina complex, picnic sites, and a full- service camping facility with nature and historic trails and playground.

Approximately 667,600 recreation visits per year were made to Lake Texana in 1994, including campers picnickers, boaters, sight seers and fishermen. An abundance of wildlife and water fowl may be easily seen in the Lake Texana area.

Various Lake Texana recreation areas are accessible from all points within the surrounding area via U.S. Highway 59 and Texas Highways 111 and 172.
